10/05/2020

Within an official inspection, the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) detected unsafe food supplement Brawn Nutrition TREN, dietary supplement, 90 caps – packaged à 90 capsules with best before date by: Exp 01.22.

Analysis carried out by the CAFIA accredited laboratory proved presence of unauthorised substance 4,9-estradien-3,17-dion in the capsules. This substance is also known under name Diendedion, which is a synthetic anabolic-androgenic steroid. The analysis detected 28,606 milligrams of this substance per kilogram (mg/kg).

With regard to the fact that anabolic steroid was found in this food supplement, the product cannot be regarded as safe and CAFIA therefore ordered the seller to immediately withdraw it from distribution and inform its customers. This procedure is in compliance with European Regulation No. 178/2002.

CAFIA sampled the deficient lot of food supplement by means of e-shop www.prohormony-sarms.cz, of which owner was (to the date of the inspection, according to the trade terms provided here) company PhSarms s.r.o. based in Prague. According to the accompanying documentation, company JS Supplements Jadwiga Szwed, Sobierajska 12/3, 04-807 Warszawa, Poland was the supplier of the foodstuff in question.

The number of packages which may possibly be available in the market network is now subject of investigation.

CAFIA strongly recommends all consumers who have this lot of food supplement at home that they do not eat it.

CAFIA entered information of the detection into the European Rapid Alert System RASFF and will initiate an administrative procedure on imposition of a fine with the inspected person.
