During the inspection carried out on 19th August 2013, the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (hereinafter “CAFIA” only) found out serious deficiencies of hygiene conditions at premises of bakery Petr Süsser based at Lipová 806/10, 43401 Most. The premises were immediately closed down as they were not kept in order. Negligence in cleaning of the premises and equipment was also obvious. Apart from these deficiencies, occurrence of unacceptable insects and gnawers in background premises was also found out by Inspection Authority. Some ingredients used for production were stored under unsatisfactory hygiene or temperature conditions and some of them were stored without regular labelling providing identification or best-before-date.
Based on these findings and according to Act No. 146/2002 Coll., on CAFIA, ban on use of the premises for production of foodstuffs and on putting foodstuffs into circulation was imposed. Apart from total cleaning, the operator has to verify all unlabelled ingredients in production and store house and eliminate these which cannot be identified. The ban on putting the ingredients, whose cooling chain was breached, into circulation was imposed to the operator as well. Follow-up inspection carried out on 21st August 2013 found out that all deficiencies were removed and using of the premises for food production and sale was permitted again. An administrative procedure on imposition of a fine will be initiated with the operator.
