Analyses revealed another incidence of Listeria monocytogenes

The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority banned production of delicatessen in manufacturing premises of Jiří Dušek in Vrdy u Čáslavi due to Listeria monocytogenes detection. The company in question is of local importance and distributes products only in close region.
 
Laboratory analyses proved bacteria presence in two products – Rumcajs salad (175 g, use-by date: 03.11.2008) and Pochoutkový salad (175 g, use-by date: 04.11.2008). Consumers can store these salads still at home; therefore the inspection does not recommend their consumption. konzumaci.
 
Now the company must carry out a complete sanitisation of manufacturing premises whose effectiveness has to be verified by control swabs. All ingredients for production of the salads concerned also have to be analysed in order to determine the source of contamination.
