CAFIA found imported raisins contaminated with toxins

The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) banned company Penny Market s.r.o. from selling raisins of brand ENSA packaged à 500 g, labelled by best before date by 31st  July 2017, lot: E03160323C.

The laboratory analysis confirmed presence of ochratoxin A exceeding the limit. The raisins contained 32.84 microgram per kilogram (μg/kg), which is threefold higher amount than the maximum permitted limit, which is 10 μg/kg only.
