No patulin contents detected in other batches of baby food

Also the last analyses of baby food samples, taken during the inspection that was carried out in the production premises of the company Deva, a.s., Nové Město nad Metují, did not confirm any patulin contents. The products are sold under the following label

Fruit DEVA, apple baby food, 190 gram jars, with the production date: 17.05.2002 and the use-by-date: 17.05.2004,

Fruit DEVA, apple baby food with oat flakes, 190 gram jars, with the production date: 17.05.2002, and the use-by-date: 17.05.2004, and

Fruit DEVA, apple baby food with oat flakes, 190 gram jars, with the production date: 06.05.2002, and the use-by-date: 06.05.2004.

CAFIA performed the laboratory analyses of those samples when patulin contents exceeding the MRL values set by the Ministry of Health for infants and small children were detected in one of the batches of baby food last week.

All tests were carried out in the accredited laboratories of the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority
