The Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority (CAFIA) warns consumers about the following non-compliant food product:

Turkey Breast Cutlets – Slices, Fresh Turkey Meat, Quality Class A, packed in a protective atmosphere, batch number: 120626, use-by date: 18 June 2026, country of origin: Czech Republic, manufacturer: Zelenka s.r.o., Topolová 910, 667 01 Židlochovice, Czech Republic, additional identification: veterinary approval mark (veterinary oval) CZ 6017 ES.

Laboratory analysis confirmed the presence of Salmonella Saintpaul in the above-mentioned batch. This bacterium is a causative agent of salmonellosis. Although this serotype is detected less frequently in the Czech Republic, this does not mean that it poses a lower health risk than the more commonly occurring Salmonella serotypes.

As the product's use-by date has already expired, it is no longer available on the market. However, CAFIA strongly advises any consumers who may still have the product stored in their freezer not to consume it. Freezing has virtually no effect on bacterial contamination.

CAFIA inspectors collected the sample from the non-compliant batch at a retail outlet operated by Albert Česká republika, s.r.o., Radlická 520/117, 158 00 Prague.

CAFIA will initiate administrative proceedings with the inspected entity regarding the imposition of a fine.
