CAFIA detected repeated adulteration of canned meat from Poland

Another case of adulteration of canned meat of Polish origin was revealed by inspectors of the Czech Agriculture and Food Inspection Authority in the retail network of company Kaufland Česká republika v.o.s.

Foodstuff KONZERVA S DRŮBEŽÍM MASEM (canned poultry meat), preserved can, minced poultry, lot 0182, best before date by 240119, country of origin: Polsko. Information on the labelling stated that meat content was 59%, however, the can contained 47.7% of poultry meat only, which was almost by 12% less.

The sample was taken in Kaufland Česká republika v.o.s., Před Tratí 2/891, 73564 Havířov - Prostřední Suchá. Company Zaklady Miesne Werblinski Sp. z o.o. Debnialki Kaliskie 22 62-800 Kalisz, Poland was then the producer of the foodstuff in question.

The Inspection Authority ordered the inspected person to withdraw the foodstuff from all its branches and will initiate an administrative procedure on imposition of a fine.

With regard to repeated detections of adulteration at this kind of commodity, CAFIA will continue with inspections in the same intensity.
