Import of wine

After the entry of the Czech Republic the EU, wine import means only wine import from third countries. For the trade within the EU, free circulation of goods is applied, provided that wine complies with EC legislation requirements. Specific regime is applied for wine import from third countries. This means that there are specific conditions for import from third countries in the wine sector.
Wine import from third countries is regulated by Regulation (EC) No. 1234/2007 and Regulation (EC) No. 491/2009, and Commission Regulation (EC) No. 55/2008.

Conditions for wine import from third countries into the EC:

Obligation to present at the point of entry (Council Regulation (EC) No. 1234/2007 amended by Council Regulation (EC) No. 491/2009, Art. 158a Para 3, Commission Regulation (EC) No. 555/2008, Art. 40-42):

The certificate and the report on the results of the analysis are completed on a separate form VI 1 (Annex IX to Commission Regulation (EC) No. 555/2008) or VI 2 (Annex X of Commission Regulation (EC) No. 555/2008).
